2018 Farm Bill

The 2018 Farm Bill removed Industrial Hemp from Schedule I controlled substances and made it an ordinary agricultural commodity.

Anandamide

Anandamide is an endocannabinoid naturally produced within the body of mammals that is referred to as the bliss molecule due to its properties as a mood enhancer.

Broad Spectrum Oil

Broad Spectrum Hemp Extract Oil contains all of the compounds found in the hemp plant EXCEPT THC (0% THC).

Cannabichromene (CBC)

Cannabichromene or CBC is a non-psycoactive compound found in the cannabis plant, and has a similar molecular structure to THC.

Cannabidiol (CBD)

Cannabidiol or CBD is a non-psychoactive compound found in the cannabis plant.

Cannabigerol (CBG)

Cannabigerol or CBG is a non-psychoactive compound found in the cannabis plant, and is the precursor to THC.

Cannabimimetics

Cannabimimetics are substances (herbs, food) and practices (exercising, meditation) that have similar pharmacological effects to those of the cannabis plant.

Cannabinoid Receptors

Cannabinoid receptors listen and receive signals, transmitting information about changes in our bodies, and activating the correct response to keep our bodies balanced.

Cannabinol (CBN)

Cannabinol or CBN is a non-psychoactive compound found in the cannabis plant, and is created when THC ages.

Cannabis

Cannabis refers to a group of plants that includes Cannabis Sativa, Cannabis Indica, and Cannabis Ruderalis. Sometimes referred to as marijuana and typically psychoactive used for both recreational and medicinal purposes.

CB1 Receptor

CB1 cannabinoid receptors are found predominantly in the brain and central nervous system.

CB2 Receptor

CB2 cannabinoid receptors are involved in the regulation of appetite, immune system functions and pain management.

CBD Isolate

CBD Isolate is a crystalline solid or powder that contains pure CBD.

Certificate of Analysis (COA)

A Certificate of Analysis or COA is a document issued by a lab that confirms that a regulated product meets its specifications.

CO2 Extraction

CO2 extraction is a process that uses pressurized carbon dioxide to pull the desired phytochemicals from a plant.

Endocannabinoid System (ECS)

The Endocannabinoid System or ECS is a self-regulating system of receptors located throughout the body of mammals. The ECS keeps our bodies in homeostasis - a balanced and stable state. The ECS regulates vital functions like sleep, appetite, immune system, fertility and pregnancy, pain sensation, mood and memory.

Endocannabinoids

Endocannabinoids are chemical compounds produced naturally within the body of mammals and bind to the same receptors as compounds found in cannabis.

Flavonoid

Flavonoids are a diverse group of plant chemicals found in almost all fruits and vegetables, and in the cannabis plant.

Full Spectrum Oil (FSO)

Full Spectrum Hemp Extract Oil contains all of the compounds found in the hemp plant including cannabinoids like CBD, CBG, CBN, (0.3% or less THC), terpenes, flavonoids and more.

Hemp Seed Oil

Hemp Seed Oil is made from the seeds of the hemp plant, is high in antioxidants, amino acids, and omega fatty acids, but does not contain CBD or other cannabinoids.

Industrial Hemp

Industrial Hemp is a strain of the Cannabis sativa plant species that is grown specifically for the industrial uses of its derived products, and legally must contain 0.3% or less THC.

Phytocannabinoid Rich (PCR) Hemp Oil

Phytocannabinoid Rich (PCR) Hemp Oil is hemp extract that is rich in other cannabinoids and compounds outside of just CBD.

Phytocannabinoids

Phytocannabinoids are chemical compounds produced by plants such as cannabis. There are over 100 phytocannabinoids that have been discovered in the cannabis plant, including THC and CBD

Psychoactive

Psychoactive means to affect the mind or behavior.

Sublingual

Sublingual means to be taken under the tongue, as part of the suggested use of a CBD tincture or oil.

Terpenes

Terpenes are organic compounds found in a variety of food and plants, including cannabis. They are the essential oils of the cannabis plant, resulting in unique smells and tastes, and producing a variety of effects.

Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC)

Tetrahydrocannabinol or THC is the psychoactive chemical compound found in the cannabis plant.

The Entourage Effect is the theory that all of the compounds found in the cannabis plant work together syngergistically to create unique effects and benefits.
